NHL Playoff Betting – Flyers, Blackhawks Hold The Upper Hand Over Habs, Sharks

NHL betting players got a day off on Wednesday to reflect on the first two games in both series as the teams are set to switch venues, and here's a look at their respective Game 3s.

Canadiens Flyers Betting - Thursday, May 20, 7:00 PM ET

The Canadiens are a -130 favorite at the Bell Center, which should be at a fever pitch for this game. Philadelphia outscored Montreal 9-0 in their first two games at home, with Daniel Briere and Simon Gagne notching goals in both games, while Michael Leighton stopped all 58 shots he has faced so far. The Canadiens need to get some sort of offense going, but Jaroslav Halak could also stand to play a bit better in goal. Leighton has played in the Bell Center twice this season, first in a 3-2 shootout loss while with Carolina in November, and then a 6-2 win in February with the Flyers, who have won three of their last five in Montreal.

Blackhawks Sharks Betting - Friday, May 21, 8:00 PM ET

The Blackhawks are favored at -160 to take a 3-0 lead after taking both in San Jose, but the Sharks have won three of their last five in Chicago, where the Blackhawks are only 3-3 during the postseason. Antti Niemi has stopped 69 of 72 shots so far, outplaying San Jose's Evgeni Nabokov, while the line of Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp and Dustin Byfuglien have been a force. The same can't be said of San Jose's big trio of Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau and Dany Heatley, who need huge games if the Sharks are going to improve their odds when you're betting online.
