| NHL Preseason – A Look At The Trends |
|
NHL fans can rejoice as the preseason is well underway, and if you can get past the suspensions and ugly incidents, you can start checking out your team’s fortunes for the upcoming season. Here is a look at three matchups to watch this weekend.
Kings Ducks Odds – Friday, 10:00 PM ET Even though it’s preseason, these two are still state rivals, so they’ll be able to get up for this game. They’ve met six times in the last three preseasons, with the Ducks winning on four occasions. Four of the games were also decided by one goal, and three have gone to overtime or the shootout.
Red Wings Maple Leafs Odds – Saturday, 7:00 PM ET Detroit heads to Toronto for the second half of a back-to-back with the Maple Leafs, and when it comes to Toronto you should really consider the under in your bookie software. The total for hockey games is generally 5, sometimes 6, so let’s say 5.5 is the total on Saturday. Half of their six preseason games so far have gone under the total, and playing on back-to-back nights, the energy levels may be low.
Oilers Canucks Odds – Saturday, 10:00 PM ET
Again, these two are in close proximity to each other, so they play often during the preseason; six times, to be specific. The Oilers have won four times, including both games last year, but we all know how the regular season turned out, so don’t expect Edmonton to make a major leap in your sports betting book with a win. |
